Job Description

QA Inspector/Quality Assurance Officer Kingston upon Thames, Surrey £20,000 - £26,000 Our client is a manufacturer of precision sub-contract components, servicing industries as diverse as automotive, defence, medical, aerospace, brewing and construction. They now seek to recruit a QA Inspector/Quality Assurance Officer to join their team. Working for a business already accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2008, AS9100 Aerospace, TS16949 automotive and ISO 17025 UKAS, the QA Inspector/Quality Assurance Officer will perform a range of duties including: * Auditing of in-process inspection of precision machined components * Carrying out routine QA/QC in-process checks * Completing first off approvals and start ups, and final quality audits * Reporting on and assisting in resolution of non-conformance and quality deviations * Carrying out internal audits and self-inspection programmes * Training and coaching production staff * Managing and calibrating standard engineering equipment * Preparing documents for Customer PPAP (first off) approval of parts and raising quality control inspection documents * Participating in achievement of site KPIs by completion of QA and customer objectives, focusing on tasks linked to overall site performance To be considered for this position, the QA Inspector/Quality Assurance Officer will need to demonstrate the following key attributes: * Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role * A working knowledge of ISO9000 and an understanding of SPC techniques * Ability to use a CMM It would also prove beneficial to your application if you can demonstrate good knowledge of TS16949, though this is not essential.
