Duties include:
- Supporting the Senior HR team in providing advice, support and training to the management team in all aspects of HR including employment law, equal opportunities and other associated legislation
- Supporting the Senior HR team to develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure productive employee relations are consistently maintained in accordance with legislation and best practice
- Aiding the Senior HR team on interpreting and advising on employment legislation
- Supporting the HR team in all aspects of recruitment activities
- To provide case management advice to Operations Managers with regards to managing long and short term sickness cases
- Partner operations management to effectively manage absence sickness
- To ensure all Occupational Health referrals follow the correct procedure and to keep the management team updated with progress on Occupational Health Referrals
- To ensure all HR processes are implemented, managed and updated, suggesting improvements where necessary
- Contributing to performance monitoring, and the implementation of HR best practice measures
- Contributing to the delivery of project work and policy development within the department by taking part in, or leading, project teams
- To assist in updating the Manager\'s Handbook
- To assist in updating the Employee Handbook
- Update the pay scales in line with the pay awards
- Giving line managers advice on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits
- Ensuring all HR files and training records are maintained and updated
- Note taking during appeals, grievances and disciplinary procedures as and when required
- Ensuring all letter templates are updated and maintained
- Building constructive relationships with internal and external cus tom ers and with colleagues across the HR department
Person spec
- Experience in developing and implementing effective HR processes and procedures and evaluating success.
- Experience of dealing with core HR issues such as disciplinaries and grievances, sickness absence, staff development and management
- Good knowledge of current employment legislation and its practical application
- Experience of working on projects in a large organisation, outlining the role played and perceived achievements
- Experience of working in a multi-site organisation
